Devoting herself to both fine and applied arts, she gained experience with design as an external designer working for the renowned company Lasvit. This experience has contributed to the top-class quality of the light objects and light fittings created by Kateřina Smolíková, which may compete with large companies. She likes experimenting and discovering new glass processing techniques. She is not afraid of large sizes, bright colours and diverse structures.
